International Scientific Convention Saber UH 2025

The University of Havana invites you to attend the second edition of the International Scientific Convention Saber UH 2025 at our Alma Mater between May 26th and 30th of next year.

The Convention will provide spaces for researchers, academics, and students from various scientific disciplines to exchange knowledge, discuss recent advances in their respective areas of expertise, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration. Relevant and prioritized topics for university scientific research, aligned with the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, will be debated in colloquiums, conferences, congresses, seminars, symposiums, workshops, and student meetings. We will address Biotechnology and biomedical sciences: renewable energies, the environment, and sustainable development; the basic sciences; territorial development; the problems of higher education in the 21st century; topics of economics and public administration; history, sociology, and philosophy; the right; public policies; cultural, archival and heritage processes; graphic and industrial design; open science, among others.

Scientific Program

The Convention will include congresses, symposiums, workshops, colloquiums, seminars, conferences, and panels, which will become excellent spaces for debate and updating the leading role of science and innovation in today’s academic universe. Distinguished personalities and renowned scientists will give Keynote Lectures and oral presentations at the different events of this convention.

Official languages: Spanish and English.

Registration and submission of abstracts will be carried out through the events.uh.cu platform

Rules for presentation and publication of works

Abstracts will be uploaded to the event website during registration in Word format, in a single paragraph of no more than 250 words, excluding title and affiliation.

Title: in bold letters

– Authors: name and surname, underline the author presenting the work, refer to the presenter’s email address and the affiliation of all authors with a superscript number after the name,e and put each institution of origin below.

– Structure of the summary: background, objectives, results and conclusions. For more information about the characteristics of the summary, check the convention website

The Scientific Committee will review the works of each event and decide on its acceptance and presentation modality: oral or poster. The selected works may be published in the magazines of the University of Havana according to the themes of the event in which one participates (information on the web) and following its regulations.

Undergraduate students must present an official letter from the university to certify their status.
